I also have this problem! I bought a new Trust Webcam Spotlight Pro to replace a similar earlier model of Trust Webcam (WB6250X) that I had assumed to have failed, a few days ago, due to a hardware failure. The new webcam gave me a driver 'not successfully installed' message on my Windows 7 x64 (running on a HP XW6400). The old webcam was not defective at all and installed successfully on a new Windows 7 x64 installation on a different computer (HP XW6200), but the Webcam Spotlight Pro also could not be installed on that system (but it does work on a Raspberry Pi!!). Has Microsoft distributed an update that could make these Trust webcams fail?
Is it possible that a virus checker (I have ESET on one machine and Windows Security Essentials on the other)? Any assistance would be much appreciated.
